When a Consultant joins Close To My Heart, they can choose from two different New Consultant Kits: the Essentials Kit for $49 and the Master Kit for $99. The Essentials Kit for new Consultants who have been scrapbooking for a while and have many tools. The Master Kit includes everything in the Essentials Kit plus more supplies and 5 Studio J® layouts.
Purchasing the Kit
What is the price of the New Consultant Kit?There are 2 kit options. There is the Essentials Kit for $49 and the Master Kit for $99
Does a new Consultant have to purchase the New Consultant Kit to join the company?
Yes. The New Consultant Kit is a required purchase.
Can a new Consultant purchase both kits?
No. A new signup can only pick one kit to purchase at the time of the enrollment.
Can a new Consultant purchase a New Consultant Kit with a personal check?
No, personal checks are not accepted for the New Consultant Kit. The enrollment process takes place online, and a credit card is required to purchase a kit.
What credit cards are accepted?
Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. (Discover is not accepted in Canada.)
Can an active Consultant purchase the New Consultant Kit outside of the enrollment process?
No. The New Consultant Kit is non-commissionable and only available for new Consultants during enrollment. Active Consultants who wish to purchase the contents of the kit may order each of the items separately, but may not purchase the kit.

Where can a prospective new Consultant see what is included in the New Consultant Kit?You can see what is in the New Consultant Kit in the Autumn/Winter 2012 Idea Book on pages 4–5. You’ll find full-color photos of the kit contents as well as a list of the items.
How long is the New Consultant Kit available?
The products in the New Consultant Kit are available beginning with the preview period and will remain available until the next Idea Book preview period. The New Consultant Kit in the Autumn/Winter 2012 Idea Book is available for new Consultants to purchase beginning July 13 through November 30, 2012. The Spring/Summer 2013 New Consultant Kit is available December 1 through mid-July of each year. The contents of the kits are subject to change at the discretion of Close To My Heart. There is no guarantee that the current options will be featured in subsequent Idea Books or that the retail values will remain the same.
What is the retail value of the New Consultant Kit?
The products in the $49 Essentials Kit have a retail value of approximately $130 and the $99 Master Kit has a retail value of approximately $280—it’s easy to see what a great deal the kit is!
How to Sign Up
How does a new Consultant enroll and purchase the kit?The entire enrollment process takes place online. Prospective new Consultants go to your OBA website and click on Opportunities > Be a Consultant > Let’s get started. The new Consultant provides a credit card number and purchases the kit during online enrollment.

Yes. Tax is charged for both US and Canada on the actual amount the new Consultant pays for the New Consultant Kit.
Misc.
Will I receive commissions on the kit purchased by a new Consultant?No, the New Consultant Kit is not commissionable.
If a new Consultant purchases the Master Kit that includes 5 Studio J® layouts, how do they get the layouts?
The new enrollee’s Consultant account will automatically be credited with 5 free layouts. So, they simply need to login to Studio J using their Consultant username and password, then when they check out, they can apply their layout credits to their purchase. The 5 free layouts must be redeemed within 3 months from the date they submitted their application or they will be forfeited.
